Please note: Once created, DOIs are difficult to delete. If you are not sure if you require a DOI, please get in touch with a.alkhourdajie@ipcc-wg3.ac.uk or ipcc.ddc.datasupport@metadata.atlassian.net.
If you do create a DOI in error, please log a request with ipcc.ddc.datasupport@metadata.atlassian.net as soon as possible.
All IPCC DDC registered datasets should either have a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) or be working towards obtaining one. Note: This is not the DOI of the publication(s) associated with the dataset.
If a DOI is available and has been minted through another system/organisation, please provide this DOI in the box below.
If no DOI the IPCC DDC can mint a DOI for your dataset via the Onboarder system. To do this:
The DOI name field must be blank. If there is any text in this field, the MintDOI button will be unavailable.
The privacy setting for the dataset must be set to “Public”. To change this setting, click the “Change Privacy” button
in the top right-hand corner of the screen, select “Public” and save changes. Note: The draft metadata record won’t be publicly available until after review and publication. For further information, see the “Submitting your metadata record for review” section.
Click the “Mint DOI” button.
The system will then create a draft DOI via DataCite, and populate this field with the result. Once the metadata record is published (see the “Submitting your metadata record for review” section), the DOI details are finalised and the DOI will become publically available.
