When a new user is added to the system, they are assigned one or more roles according to their responsibilities within your organisation.

The following roles are available to select:

Role

Description

Guest

A guest can view public data models via the Browser.

User

A user can view private, public and draft data models on the Onboarder, Advanced View and Browser.

Curator

A curator can create and update descriptive metadata in the Onboarder.

Editor

An editor can create, update and delete both descriptive and structural metadata in the Onboarder and Advanced View.

Publisher

A publisher can finalize data models.

Admin

An admin can manage users within their group.

Supervisor

A supervisor can perform any action.

Supervisor (Internal Only)

  • Access all functionalities, including editing finalized data models

Admin

  • Access all functionalities including creating users, but not edit finalised models

  • View & Edit all datasets across the site i.e. access to all groups

Publisher

  • Onboarding portal

  • Advanced view

  • View datasets within their own usergroup

  • Edit + create datasets

  • Delete datasets

  • Bulk import datasets

  • Bulk export datasets

  • Receive notifications from the service desk that a dataset has been submitted for review

  • Review and publish datasets

Editor

  • Access Onboarding Portal

  • Login to Advanced View view private datasets within their user group(s)

  • View datasets within their own usergroup

  • Edit + create datasets

  • Delete datasets they have created

  • Bulk import datasets - as draft only

  • Submit datasets for review

Viewer

  • View private datasets within their usergroup

  • Bulk export datasets

  • Access Onboarding Portal and view private & public datasets within their user group(s)

  • Login to Browser and view private (& public) datasets within their user group(s)

  • Login to Advanced View view private datasets (& public) within their user group(s)

Guest

  • View public datasets via the browser
