This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to manage publication notifications on the Onboarder.
Tip: Please note that only users with the Admin role are able to manage publication notifications.
1. While logged in to the onboarder, click on the Admin menu button. Please note this will only be visible if you have the correct user role.
2. Next, select Security Portal from the dropdown menu.
3. Click on User Group Management.
4. From this page you can create and manage user groups in your instance of the onboarder.
5. To manage whether or not users in your group should receive an email notification when a data model is published, check or uncheck the checkbox in the Send Notification column according to your preference.
6 All members of your user group will now receive an email notification when a dataset within their user group is published. This default email notification template is as follows:
Subject: [Data model name] has been updated
[Data model name] has been updated by [username]
(IF PUBLIC) - [link to the updated data model on the browser]
(IF PRIVATE ) [link to the updated data model on the exchange/onboarder]

6. To edit the template for the email notification, click on the 📝 button.
7. Here you can edit the HTML code for the email template. When your changes are complete, click on Update Template.
