How to Copy a Data Model

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to copy a data model. It explains how to duplicate a data model, including both the descriptive and structural metadata. By following these steps, users can easily create a new data model based on an existing one, saving time and effort in setting up a new data model from scratch.

1. Select the Data Model you wish to duplicate and navigate to the Advanced View page.

2. Open the Data Model menu at the top left corner of your screen.

3. Click on Copy Data Model.

4. Click the "Data model name" field.

5. Click Submit.

6. When copying process is complete you will receive a confirmation message and be automatically redirected to the progress view of the newly created data model. All descriptive metadata from the original data model will be reproduced in your new data model.

7. Returning to the advanced view, you can also see that the structual metadata has been successfully copied.
