This programme aims to produce a detailed catalogue and repository of current social care and applicable health terminology and vocabulary assets that will be published through data.digitalsocialcare.co.uk
data.digitalsocialcare will provide a FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) repository in three parts:
Datasets provides a catalogue of the requirements for national/local data collections e.g. SALT, ASC CLD
Data Standards provides a catalogue of reusable standards that can be applied across social care settings to enable interoperability
Reference Data provides a catalogue of glossaries, terminologies, and value sets relevant to social care
Alongside the delivery of a repository for social care standards is the development of an assured process to standardise existing information representation resources; and the capability to identify, prioritise and develop additional social care terminology resources. These will be published/ hosted alongside health resources with appropriate levels of access and tooling. Work will include the detailed scoping, analysis and prioritised development for establishing requirements for social care (for England) SNOMED CT concepts for deployment and to enable interoperability across direct integrated care systems.
