Descriptive Metadata refers to the metadata in sections 1-7, i.e. the metadata which describes the contents of your dataset e.g. the title, abstract, publication date.

  1. To export your descriptive metadata, please click on the Export button on the top right hand corner of your Onboarding dashboard.

4. Please select which Dataset Status you would like to export.

  • DRAFT:
    Please select this option if you would like to export all draft versions of your datasets i.e datasets that have not been published on the Browser.

  • LIVE:
    Please select this option if you would like to export all LIVE versions of your datasets i.e datasets that have been published on the public Browser. Please note that you cannot update live datasets using the bulk spreadsheet import function.

5. Click on “Export Excel File” to generate an Excel Spreadsheet with the all the Descriptive Metadata for the datasets you selected.

2. Please scroll down to the Uploaded Structural Metadata section and click on “Export to Excel”. This will . There are two options available:

Click on “Export to Excel” to generate a spreadsheet in the same format as the uploaded structural metadata.

Click on “Export Class Hierarchy to Excel” to generate a more detailed export including data type enumerations and additional metadata.

Please note this currently cannot be reuploaded in the same way as the simple “Export to Excel” spreadsheet.
